Welcome to my blog, today we will be talking about the Cuisinart CJ-500 Juice Extractor. If you have enough money for it and also have the space to keep it in your kitchen, then you should consider buying this juice extractor. Not like its very expensive or very big but it has a BPA-free slick design. Regardless we also want you to know that it might not give you the greatest quality juice but it’s still worth it.

Now let’s get started already.

Pros:
Smaller in size compared to a lot other juice extractors.
Can be easily disassemble and reassembled even by a person who does not have any technical knowhow
It can be easily cleaned also safe to be cleaned with dishwasher

Cons
It’s a high speed preset, which means it’s not suitable for leafy greens and soft produce
There have been multiple reports of plastic being ground or melting into juice
Mistimes, it also makes juice with quite noticeable pulp content

What Is the Cuisinart CJE-500 Compact Juice Extractor?
The Compact juice extractor is a small juice extractor ortheerwise known as juicer. It uses 500 watt High speed motor for its main operation. Its less pricy and with a very compactible body. This means you can easily move it around and save it properly without needing an extrac space in your regular cupboard.

It has not been officially stated the revolution per minute (RPM) of the CJE 500, But some sources have suggested that it should be around 19.000 Revolution per minutes, which is a very high speed especially for juicing some soft fruits.

Notable Product Features

Comes with a powerful 500-watt motor. Makes it easy to process hard produce
Easy 1-speed on/off button
16 fl. oz. jug and 40 oz. pulp container
Quality build and design

I like the slick look of the juicer. It’s designed with black BPA-free plastic and metal embellishment.

It has a regular 1 way operation button to turn on the juicer and turn it back off, No speed regulator. Which makes it less suitable for soft produces and leafy green. This hence indicated the need for a speed regulator or controller.

Also, The produce will be compiled in a round 2.5 inch feed Chute, This is not big enough for large produce, so you might need to cut some of your produce to smaller pieces

Another noticeable feature of the Cuisinart CJE 500 Juicer is that the juice gotten from the produce flows into a 16 fl. oz. jug, while the pulp is separated into the attached 40 oz. container. You can easily detach the jug and use another jug without stopping the juicer. This is a great advantage for those juicing a lot of fruits at once
Non the less, if you are juicing for two people or two different types of juice, you might still have to replace the small jug multiple times

Juice Quality and Yield

A lot of users have complained simarly thing about the juicer leaving the wet pulp behind, this has been compared with the other centrifugal juicer and concluded buy a lot others not to extract as much juice from the produces compared to the centrifugal juicers

Another issues users have encountered is not getting enough juice from leafy green.—one user reportedly said it produced barely a tablespoon of juice from a few leaves of kale. GoodHouseKeeping also confirmed in their review that this model performs poorly with kale.

So this model would be better for you if you’re looking to juice hard produce like beetroot, apples, celery, carrots and the like.

Many also say the juice often contains a noticeable amount of pulp and foam, which isn’t great.

Another report that really concerns me is the plastic that is said to be contained in the juice from the cover chute and the pusher being ground or melted into the juice. This would make me a bit cautious about buying this juicer although I’m sure not everyone will experience this.

If anything does happen, the CJE-500 comes with a nice 3-year warranty for the whole machine.

While Breville’s Juice Fountain Cold BJE430SIL might be an exception due to its Cold Spin Technology, the juice from centrifugal juicers should generally be consumed within 24 hours. This is due to their high RPM speeds, which causes a lot of oxygen to be pulled into the juice.

Performance and Noise

Notwithstanding all the imperfection in with leafy greens and citruses, the CJE 500 works really well with hard and bulky produces.

It’s also not as noisy in action as many other centrifugal juicers, which is a nice plus.

Is It Easy to Use?

Once you’ve assembled the 6 parts of your CJE-500, using it is very straightforward. Lift out the pusher, press the on button and you’re ready to push produce through the juicer.

Should I Buy the Cuisinart CJE-500 Compact Juice Extractor?

I will say this option is great if you’re on a budget and looking for a compact juicer that won’t take up much space in most kitchens and if you only want to juice the common things I mentioned earlier (apples, beetroot, carrots, celery, etc.).

If you do buy it, I recommend you keep an eye on the plastic situation and get your juicer replaced if it does happen.
